Martial Arts

The Kamawan Dojo is a traditional martial arts school which offers year round training and is located at the Fercho YMCA. Martial arts training improves the lives of participants by instilling self confidence, self discipline, respect, and responsibility. For additional information about all Martial Arts Programs, please contact Headmaster Randy Marvel at (701) 293-9622 and visit the website at www.kamawandojo.com. Participants may try any martial arts program for one session at the rates below. Participants wishing to continue training for additional sessions must purchase a uniform ($35) and an annual international karate membership ($60).

Originating from the fighting techniques of Japanese warriors, this jujutsu system is not for sport. Participants will also learn authentic ninjutsu (the fighting art of the ninja) from an instructor who trained in Japan. These arts combine throws, escapes, joint locks, weapons, self defense and more! In addition, students will also learn kempo, a specialized striking system.
