There is no other nonprofit quite like the Y. Be a part of a cause committed to moving people and communities forward. We know that when we work as one, we move people and communities forward. That’s why we are committed to providing support to our neighbors and opportunities for kids, adults and families to give, join in or advocate in the name of stronger communities.
Giving
The generosity of others is at the core of our existence. A cause driven, not-for-profit organization, the Y is able to fulfill our mission of enhancing the spirit, mind and body of all through the generosity of our members and donors.

AmeriCorps Program
AmeriCorps is an opportunity to make a big difference in your life and in the lives of those around you. It’s a chance to apply your skills and ideals toward helping others and meeting critical needs in your community. The YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties has over 52 AmeriCorps members completing terms of service mentoring at-risk youth, combating youth obesity, and keeping seniors active in addition to other roles. Each member receives a monthly living allowance, and upon successful completion of your term, members qualify for an education award of $2,775.

Volunteer Opportunities
It is only through the support of our hundreds of thousands of volunteers and public and private donors that we are able to give back to the communities we serve. Locally, the YMCA has opportunities for volunteers to enrich their lives and the lives of those around them. We strive to make volunteering a rewarding experience.

Family Resources
To bring about meaningful change, individuals need ongoing encouragement and tools. We’re here day-in and day-out to provide the resources our communities need to address the most pressing social issues. We work to make sure every child, family and community has what they need to achieve their best. Programs to assist families include:
> Foster Closet
> Christmas Giving Tree
> Child Care Assistance
> Open Doors Income-Based Membership
Global Services
At the Y, building a strong global community begins at home. Ys in the U.S. help young people develop cultural competencies, diverse populations connect to the community and individuals around the world gain access to life-changing resources and support. As an interconnected global network, the Y has the resources and solutions to build bridges and make our changing communities stronger-both at home and abroad.
