Camp Program – Busy Beaver Camp is a half-day “camping” experience designed just for preschoolers. Each session’s activities are planned around a weekly theme chosen to appeal to the interests and curiosities of this age group. Picnics, swimming and weekly field trips add to the excitement. Join the magic of YMCA Day Camping!
Camp Facilities – Busy Beaver Camp is located at the YMCA in the KinderKamp Preschool rooms. Parents and campers may use the YMCA’s southeast entrance. Swimming activities are held in the YMCA’s warm water training pool. The YMCA provides certified lifeguards and water wings. Island Park is used for outdoor activities and picnics. Busy beavers also have the opportunity to use the outdoor wading pool at Island Park once a week.
Camp Staff – Our camp counselors are trained in early childhood education and are chosen for their maturity and understanding of children. Your child will be assigned to the same counselor and group for the week.
