Camp Program – Our day camp is packed each day with activities that will keep minds sharp and bodies moving. Campers arrive at the YMCA between 8:45am and 9:00am and should be picked up at 4:30pm. Your child’s camp adventure begins at 9:00am each day. Extended care is available from 7:30am to 8:45am and 4:45pm to 6:00pm. (The fee for extended care is $1.00 per child, per time slot – am or pm).
Camp Activities – Each day will be based on the theme for the week, but include lots of adventure! Activities like swimming, crafts, nature walks, field trips, science experiments, culture diversity exploration, sports, music and much more. One day each week campers also get to attend our very own YMCA Camp Cormorant on Big Cormorant Lake, MN! There they get the full camp experience and even more adventure like horseback riding, water fun, ropes and climbing courses and more.
Camp Staff – The Y knows kids and we choose our staff based on maturity, sensitivity, and proven abilities in relating to young children. They are excellent role models and care about children. The staff is selected to teach the core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and health.
Camp Scholarships – There are a variety of financial assistance programs available to campers. The YMCA provides scholarships to families who are in need. Call Dee at 701.364.4153 for more information.
