FM Coalition for Homeless Persons
Our YMCA has a working partnership in our Community to achieve permanent solutions to prevent, reduce and end homelessness. Aspects of the mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice, focus on prevention and support locally driven initiatives for social responsibility.

There is a way for everyone to contribute and have a role, volunteers are still needed for church overflow sheltering. You can help supervise at a church –based shelter during the severe weather months. This winter there are more people needing shelter than the emergency shelters or daytime resource centers can accommodate. Area churches are opening their doors to help ensure no one dies on our streets because of homelessness. Volunteers are needed to staff these temporary sites.

Training is provided and required to volunteer, but pre-registration is not required to attend the training. Training is provided by a coalition of FM Coalition for the Homeless Persons and local Shelter Directors. Monetary contributions may also be provided to FM Coalition for the Homeless Persons at P.O. Box 5653, 502 – 1st  Avenue North – Fargo, N.D. 58105.
