The Y Supports Federal Employees During Government Shutdown

The YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties wants to help federal employees during the government shutdown. If you are a federal employee who has been impacted by the shutdown, we want to help make this difficult time a little bit easier and less stressful. Bring your federal ID to either Member Services Desk, and we would be happy to help you with membership and/or child care fees in order to provide access to our facilities and services.

During the Government Shutdown:
  • YMCA Facility Membership: Monthly membership dues will be waived.
  • YMCA Child Care: The YMCA will make special accommodations for your child care tuition payments.

These services are offered to current members and child care families, as well as any federal employees who would benefit from using the Y’s facilities and services during the government shutdown. To utilize these facilities and services, please visit the Member Services Desk at either the Fercho or Schlossman YMCA (and bring your federal ID). To learn more about YMCA membership and/or child care, please visit us online.

At the Y, Social Responsibility is one of our three pillars, which means that we do everything in our considerable power to give back and provide support to our neighbors, especially when they may be experiencing unplanned challenges.
