The goal of the YMCA School Age Learning Centers is to support the YMCA’s mission of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities by offering a unique School Age program to families and children that will build children physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially, while offering a safe, positive and enriching experience for all youth.
School Age Learning Centers offer a licensed, caring and nurturing environment with enriching activities for children grades K-8. The Dilworth program is legally unlicensed due to YMCA status. Fourteen of our School Age programs are located in area elementary schools, six of which are 21st Century Community Learning Centers. Programs at the YMCA Fercho and Schlossman Branches are accredited programs that transport children to and from schools that are not directly served by an on-site School Age Learning Center.
