YMCA personal trainers provide support for ALL fitness levels.

We define your unique needs and build a personal fitness plan specifically for you. This personal attention will help you reach your goals and make healthy living a part of your lifestyle. Our personal trainers are here to help and truly care about your total health and well-being. Because our personal training is done in the Y environment, it’s comfortable, approachable, and not intimidating. Scheduling is very flexible! A personal trainer is available at both locations, every day from open to close.

Partner Training
Working out is more fun when you do it with friends – and personal training is, too! Get all the advantages of YMCA Personal Training in a fun partner setting. With Partner Training, you and your friend can tackle your health and wellness goals together with the support of one of our experienced personal trainers. 

How to Purchase
Personal Training sessions must be purchased in-person at either Member Services Desk. At time of purchase, participants will receive a ‘card’ for each session purchased which needs to be turned in upon redemption.

How to Schedule
Personal Training sessions may be scheduled at either Member Services Desk, Fitness Desk or over the phone at 701.293.9622. Sessions must be paid for in full before they are scheduled with a trainer. Personal Training sessions cannot be scheduled online.

How to Redeem
Purchased ‘cards’ must be turned into your scheduled personal trainer at the start of each session.

Intro to Fitness Orientation – FREE for Members!

Are you unfamiliar with our equipment? Uneasy about committing to a Personal Training Session? That’s why we offer a FREE Intro to Fitness Center Orientation for all members to get comfortable with our facilities! Whether you’ve been a member for twenty years or only two weeks, get comfortable with the fitness equipment, re-vamp your workout plan, or simply ask those burning wellness questions with a FREE 60 minute orientation, led by one of our personal trainers. Orientations may be scheduled at either Member Services Desk, either Fitness Desk, or over the phone at 701.293.9622.
BONUS: Members who participate in the YMCA’s Intro to Fitness Orientation get a discount on their next personal training purchase! Buy up to three 60 minute One-on-One sessions for only $32 each! Upon completion of the Intro to Fitness Orientation, participants will receive a ‘coupon’ that they can use to redeem the discounted personal training sessions.

What does an Intro to Fitness Orientation include?

  • InBody Composition Assessment  | 15 minutes
    The InBody is the most advanced body composition analyzer on the market, allowing you to see your percent body fat, basal metabolic rate, body composition, and much more. Your trainer will walk through the results with you and discuss how the knowledge can help you achieve greater health and wellness. 
  • Consultation  | 15 minutes
    Our personal trainers will take the time to get to know you and your personal goals. They will also analyze your previous fitness experience and discuss areas of interest in order to make your workouts fun and exciting!
  • Personal Training Session  | 30 minutes
    Come ready in your workout clothes! The last 30 minutes you will be on the fitness floor getting acquainted with the fitness equipment. This time is designed specifically for you. Get comfortable with the fitness space, or get a 30 minute workout in!
